NEW YORK – Let my people go, says Val Kilmer.
Kilmer will star as Moses in a stage musical production of "The Ten Commandments," (search) producer BCBGMaxAzria Entertainment announced Thursday.
He'll lead a cast of 50 in a pop musical production of the 3,300-year-old story of Moses leading the Hebrews in exodus of Egypt.
The musical will run in a limited engagement at the Kodak Theatre (search) in Hollywood, Calif., with preview performances beginning Sept. 18. Opening night is Sept. 27.
Kilmer, 44, voiced the character of Moses in the 1998 animated film "The Prince of Egypt." His movies also include "Top Gun," "The Doors" and "Batman Forever."
