Loretta Lynn Recuperating From Pneumonia

Loretta Lynn (search) is recuperating from double pneumonia and has postponed three concerts, including a show at her Hurricane Mills ranch.

Her daughters, Peggy and Patsy, along with her band, The Coal Miners (search), will perform in Lynn's place at a July 3 concert for a nominal admission fee, said Lynn spokesman William Smithson.

Fans also can return tickets to the point of purchase for a refund, Smithson said.

Two other concerts, July 9-10 at Falls View Casino in Niagara Falls, N.Y., also have been postponed and will be rescheduled, Smithson said.

Lynn had to postpone several recent shows because of a back ailment. The 69-year-old singer then was hospitalized for double pneumonia. She is now recovering at her home.

A posting on her Web site, http://www.lorettalynn.com, says: "Loretta sends her heartfelt thanks to all of her fans for their love and support and looks forward to seeing them on the road again soon."

Lynn's hits include "Rated X," (search) "Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man" and her signature song, "Coal Miner's Daughter." (search) Her latest album, "Van Lear Rose," was produced by Jack White of the White Stripes.
