George Tenet (search), the head of the CIA for nearly seven years, and a Clinton administration appointee, has submitted his resignation to President Bush.
After intense scrutiny over the handling of the Sept. 11 attacks and the war in Iraq, CIA Director George Tenet (search) resigned as head of the U.S. intelligence agency, President Bush announced this morning.
