Cheney Pledges Support for Israel

Vice President Dick Cheney (search) defended the war on terror as he spoke to a group of traditionally Democratic Jewish voters today in Boca Raton.

Cheney is pushing for votes in the state that put him and President Bush in the White House four years ago.

He pledged to remain a strong ally to Israel (search) and avoided any mention of John Kerry as the host Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County (searchrequested.

Instead, Cheney focused on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and the administration's determination to win its campaign against worldwide terrorism.

Cheney was then headed to Orlando, where he was attending a reception for the 2004 Joint State Victory Committee.
