"Big Fish," "Stuck On You" and "Love Actually" are new on DVD in today's Foxlight.

Tim Burton's shaggy dog story called "Big Fish" (search) is new on DVD this week, and this is the one that got away -- from the box office. Foxlight never understood all the fuss over this noble misfire. It should be called "Big Finish," because it does have a killer ending. But everything before it, even with performances from powerhouses like Albert Finney and Jessica Lange, can't help this hit and miss outing be more miss than hit.

While we're trolling around the career discount bin at the video store, let's toss in the Farrelly brothers' wildly uneven "Stuck On You." (search) Greg Kinnear and the "how much lower can he go" Matt Damon are brothers joined at the un-hip. Some spectacularly unfunny moments surround one or maybe two mildly amusing moments. Comedian and director Dan Rosen sums it up best -- "big jokes die big."

Finally, a wonderful love story. In fact, a lot of them. Foxlight put "Love Actually" (search) on the Top 10 list last year -- even though some critics found it sappy and saccharine. They're wrong. Hugh Grant leads the charge as the British prime minister and turns what's usually the obligatory Motown dance montage into a genuine laugh-out-loud moment. Bitter and sweet and a great time. Bill Nighy steals the show as an aging rocker. The whole thing is great, actually.
