Monday, April 12: Shaky Truce

On today's edition of "DaySide" with Linda Vester:

Shaky Truce: The turbulent Iraqi city of Fallujah (search) was mostly free of gunfire Monday in the second day of a truce while in the south, the U.S. military said it's open to a negotiated solution in its showdown with a radical Shiite cleric. We’ll get an update on the situation from embedded reporter Eric Niiler of KPBS Public Radio in San Diego.

Americans Captive: Nine Americans are unaccounted for in Iraq. We know that one contractor, Tommy Hamill, is being held by terrorists. Are we witnessing a new terror tactic? Evan Kohlmann, international terrorism analyst.

Plus, we’ll get reaction from Scott Boyd, Hamill family friend.

Search to Resume: Police hope to resume their search for missing co-ed Dru Sjodin. She's been missing since November, but the man charged with her disappearance isn't helping Dru's family find her.

'Swan' Song: It's the hot new show on Fox -- women getting a chance to completely make themselves over. But does “The Swan” help, or hurt women’s self-image? We’ll ask Dr. Terry Dubrow, cosmetic surgeon, and Arthur Smith, executive producer of “The Swan.”

Those stories and more on today’s edition of “DaySide with Linda Vester"
