Courtney and Janet go bust, ducklings pin hopes on "The Swan" and a "Bachelor" blooper in today's Foxlight.

Consider this fair warning -- Courtney Love (searchis trying another late night talk show. She flashed David Letterman a half dozen times during her appearance on his show a few weeks ago, and next week, she's heading over to "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." They say she will perform. If I know Courtney, that's an understatement.

Janet Jackson (searchwent on "Letterman," "Good Morning America" and MTV and told everyone she was sorry. Now she's really sorry. Jackson's new album -- like her Super Bowl performance -- has been a bust. It sold under 400,000 copies in its first week in stores, coming in at No. 2 on the charts. Her last studio album, 2001's "All For You," finished No. 1 in its first week -- selling 605,000 copies. It went on to triple platinum status.

"The Swan" (search) is easily the most "can't take my eyes off it" reality show ever developed. I knew the makeovers were going to be extreme -- I didn't know it was going to be so delightfully tacky. Some groups are going to complain it degrades women and sends the wrong signals to young women. I say, even the one they send home each week looks pretty happy. But the real show would give us a glimpse of these gals a year from now.

Finally, how incredible was it that "The Bachelor" (search) Jesse Palmer blurted out the wrong name when handing out the last rose Wednesday night? Maybe it was just a clever ploy to get an extra babe in the mix.
