Here’s the latest edition of Some Stories You Won't Find on any other Sunday show:
Kicking Up a Storm
For months the Democrats who would be president have been blasting President Bush for the war in Iraq and developments since then. But the view is apparently a little different if you're not running for president.
Consider this statement:
"I give the effort overall -- real credit. It is a good thing -- Saddam Hussein is no longer in power. It is a good thing -- we are democratizing the country."
Who said it? Senate Democratic Leader Tom Daschle, last week in his home state of South Dakota.
Justice Served?
PETA -- People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals -- has a bone to pick with the United States Supreme Court. After news reports that Justice Antonin Scalia was a hunter and that Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg often enjoyed deer meat from Scalia's trips, PETA fired off a letter to all nine members of the court asking for justice for ducks, doves and other animals by not shooting them.
The letter asks in part: how can you "rule on issues concerning violence, discrimination and prejudice against others, while conducting violent acts for pleasure...?"
No comment from the justices.
