Connecticut's (searchtwo Democratic U.S. representatives threw their support behind Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry's (searchbid for the presidency Monday.

Reps. Rosa DeLauro (searchand John Larson (searchendorsed Kerry, saying he has the vision and leadership record to be the Democratic nominee.

"His record on health care, education, the environment and improving economic opportunities for working families is outstanding," DeLauro, D-3rd District, said. "He will stand up to the special interests that have taken over the Bush administration, and he will fight for the hardworking families of this country."

Larson, D-1st District, said Kerry's medal-winning service in the Vietnam War speaks to his bravery, leadership and character.

"His decades of public service here at home combined with his vision for the economy, health care, energy independence, education and foreign policy will mean a stronger America and a better world," Larson said.

U.S. Sens. Christopher Dodd and Joe Lieberman, both Connecticut Democrats, have not endorsed presidential candidates.
