Dear Viewers,

By now you've seen, over and over, the gruesome footage of Iraqis tortured by Saddam Hussein's henchmen. It is new, glaring evidence of how Iraqis brutalized their own people. Innocent people.

Now, consider another piece of news: An Army officer has been charged with assault for what he allegedly did while interrogating an Iraqi recently. Lt. Col. Allen West was trying to get the man to confess information he knew about planned sabotage attacks against Americans. He fired his 9mm handgun near the man's head (but not at him). The man then gave the information.

It is said that this information saved soldiers' lives.

What do you think about the fact that Lt. Col. West has been charged with assault? Was he right or wrong in what he did?

Send me an e-mail at dayside@foxnews.com and tell me what you think.

Thanks,

Linda
