Eminem's (search) new crib is a lot farther than "8 Mile" away from the mean streets of Detroit -- and it's in the same ritzy area he mocked in his hit movie.

Bad-boy rapper Eminem got the keys in April to a massive six-bedroom, eight-bathroom mansion in Oakland Township, Mich., located more than 25 miles from downtown Detroit.

The real price for the real Slim Shady? Perhaps as much as a whopping $5.85 million, which was the asked-for amount, although land records don't reveal the cost of the deal.

Eminem -- whose real name is Marshall Mathers III -- picked up the 14,000-square-foot mansion and six acres of land from ex-Kmart CEO Charles Conaway, who was fired last year after the retail giant entered bankruptcy. Watched over by security guards posted at the gated front entrance, the property includes a spa, swimming pool, waterfall and boating lake with a pier.
