Abu Dhabi television aired pictures today of what it said was Saddam Hussein being greeted by a cheering crowd of Iraqis in the streets of Baghdad last week. The Arab TV station also ran what it says is audio of the deposed Iraqi dictator during that appearance.

It's not clear when the remarks were made or who made them. Con Coughlin the author of, Saddam: King of Terorr reacts.

And as President Bush and his aides plot how best to capitalize on the swift military success in Iraq, Secretary of State Colin Powell is planning a trip to Syria to discourage that nation from any acts that would appear threatening to U.S. interests. The county prosecutor in Modesto says he feels "pretty strongly" that the body of a woman that washed up on shore this week is the missing Laci Peterson. “If I were a betting man, I'd put money on it," Stanislaus County District Attorney James Brazelton told the Modesto Bee for a story published Thursday. Ted Williams, former DC homicide detective and forensic pathologist, Cyril Wecht discuss the case.
