NEW YORK – Michael Jackson has come clean about his weird, wacko life -- confessing that, at the age of 44, he still has sleepovers with young boys and enjoys water-balloon fights more than sex.
The King of Freaks also insists that his baby son, Prince Michael II, actually had fun being dangled over the edge of a hotel balcony last year.
"He enjoyed it. He started to respond by going, ‘Eeeeee,' " Jackson says.
In a jaw-dropping interview aired last night as part of a British TV documentary, the faded pop star reveals he had his third child by having his sperm implanted in a white surrogate mother he never met.
In addition, the Gloved One says he:
* Regularly shared his bedroom with a cancer-stricken 12-year-old boy, who he says has since been cured without medicine. "It's what the whole world should do," Jackson said of sleeping with children.
* Snatched daughter Paris Michael, his second child, off the delivery table moments after her birth and rushed her, bloody placenta and all, back to his mansion.
* Slept in the same bed with Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin and his actor-brother Kieran.
* Freaked out when Tatum O'Neal tried to rip off his clothes for sex.
* Wrote many of his hit songs while sitting on the branches of a magic tree on his Neverland Ranch.
* Listened in horror and disgust as his brothers had loud sex romps with armies of Jackson Five groupies.
* Was beaten with belts by his dad, Joe, whenever he and his brothers goofed while rehearsing their act.
* Has had just two plastic-surgery procedures, despite his drastically changed face -- both on his nose to improve his breathing.
* Would kill himself if there were no children left in the world.
Wacko Jacko's stunning revelations mark the first time the painfully private "King of Pop" has spoken so candidly about his lifestyle.
The interview was part of an ITV documentary, Living with Michael Jackson, which took eight months to make. Jackson was interviewed repeatedly by Martin Bashir -- who made headlines when Princess Diana admitted to him in an interview that she had had an affair.
ABC paid $5.75 million for the rights to the documentary, The Times of London said. It will be aired Thursday at 8 p.m.
Jackson admits that despite paying off the family of a 13-year-old boy who accused him of sex abuse in 1993, he still has sleepovers with kids from time to time.
"Why can't you share your bed? The most loving thing you can do is share your bed with someone," Jacko says.
"We have guest units [at Neverland], but whenever kids come here, they always want to stay with me . . . so I go, ‘If it's OK with your parents, then yes, you can.'"
One of the boys, a 12-year-old cancer survivor identified as "Gavin," even believes his overnight visits to Jacko's bedroom helped cure his disease.
When reminded he's 44 years old, Jacko insists he feels like 4.
"I am Peter Pan," he says. "He represents youth, childhood, never growing up, magic, flying."
Jacko says one of his favorite activities is climbing up a magic tree that inspires him to create:
"I love climbing trees in general, but this tree I love the most because I climb high and it give me so many ideas. I've written so many of my songs in this tree. I think it's my favorite thing, having water-balloon fights and climbing trees."
He also admits for the first time that his third child, Prince Michael Jackson, was the result of "a surrogate mother and my own sperm cells."
Asked how he selected the mom, Jacko tells Bashir:
"It didn't matter to me, as long as she was healthy. I didn't care what race, as long as she is healthy. I used a surrogate mother, and she doesn't know me."
He said he was present in the delivery room when his second wife, Debbie Rowe, gave birth to their second child, Paris, and "I was so anxious to get her home that after cutting the cord -- I hate to say this -- I snatched her and just went home with the placenta and everything all over her."
Five-year-old Prince Michael and 4-year-old Paris appear in the documentary, wearing masks. And he is seen feeding his third child -- whom he has nicknamed "Blanket" -- while draping a veil over his head.
Jacko says Rowe agreed to give birth to his first two kids because he was so desperate to be a dad, he carried around dolls pretending they were his babies.
The bizarro pop star says it's his dream to adopt two kids from each continent.
Jackson, a former child star, insists his interest in kids isn't sexual. He likes to tuck them in bed and give them hot milk and cookies.
"I have slept in a bed with many children," he says. "I slept in a bed with all of them when Macaulay Culkin was little. Kieran Culkin would sleep on this side, Macaulay Culkin was on this side, his sisters in there. We all would just jam in the bed."
When Bashir asks, "The world needs a man who's 44, who's sleeping in a bed with children?" Jackson replies, "No, you're making it all wrong."
The entertainer says that in contrast to his life with his own children, his often nightmarish childhood included beatings by his father, Joe. He recalls:
"We were terrified of him, terrified, I can't tell you. I don't think he realized to this day how scared -- I mean scared, so scared that I would regurgitate.
"He had this belt in his hand, and if you didn't [rehearse] the right way, he would tear you up, really get you. And I got it a lot of times."
While he toured with the Jackson Five, Jacko's older brothers ordered him to keep his eyes shut while he was in bed in their shared hotel rooms, he claims, adding, "So I would hear these girls come in . . . and I would hear everything."
Jacko also claims actress Tatum O'Neal tried to have sex with him by inviting him back to her house and sitting him on her bed.
"She slowly walked over and she touched the button of my shirt to open it, and I took my hands, like, and I wouldn't let them down, and she just walked away," he says. "She knew I was too shy for it. I was frightened. I was afraid."
