NEW YORK – With less than three weeks to go before the scheduled release of Pinocchio, Miramax Films has found someone to dub Roberto Benigni's voice as the lead character.
Breckin Meyer (Kate & Leopold, Clueless) will do the English voiceover for the live-action Italian flick, which Benigni also directed.
Benigni spent two weeks dubbing the character himself, but wasn't satisfied with the result.
A Miramax source said yesterday that the movie would open as scheduled on Christmas Day.
As previously announced, Glenn Close is dubbing the voice of the Blue Fairy, played on screen by Benigni's wife, Nicoletta Braschi.
