Bachelor 2 contestant Gwen, the odds-on favorite to win the show, is a divorcee, it was revealed yesterday on the Howard Stern Show when her ex-husband called in.

With odds of 1-2, the 31-year old pharmaceutical consultant from Philadelphia is tops to win the heart of bachelor Aaron Buerge, according to the online gaming company, BetWWTS.com.

Of the other two remaining contestants, Brooke, 22, a student at the University of Alabama, is still strong with 2-1 odds. Helene, a 27-year old elementary school psychologist, is the long-shot at 6-1.

Gwen's past came back to haunt her yesterday when her ex called up Howard Stern to reveal her secret.

Gwen called in to the show later to say that Bachelor producers already knew about her divorce and that it will probably be covered on a future episode of the reality show.

"It's OK if contestants were previously married," an ABC spokeswoman said yesterday. In fact, the winner last season, Amanda Marsh, was divorced.

"Having an ex is not a problem, but having kids would be in violation of the show's rules," the spokeswoman said. "All of the women go through thorough background checks."

On Wednesday night's edition of The Bachelor 2, Buerge ditched Angela, 27, a registered nurse from Kansas City, Mo.

Angela's dismissal was welcomed by fans on Internet message boards yesterday. At least one said "good riddance" and branded her "a hotbed of negativity."
