NEW YORK – Fox's hit spy thriller 24 exploded out of the gate Tuesday night, scoring boffo ratings for its second season premier.
More than 13.5 million viewers tuned in for the 9 p.m. action hour, which ran commercial-free. It drew the biggest ratings of the night among 18 to 49 year olds.
The show, which unfolds in real-time (one hour on screen is the same as one-hour of real life) stars Keifer Sutherland as Jack Bauer a counter-terrorism expert.
Fox will repeat the season premier this Monday at 9 p.m. in the time-slot formerly occupied by the canceled David E. Kelly drama, Girls Club.
