GRETA VAN SUSTEREN, HOST: Now to the Levy family reaction. We're going to be joined by Don Vance out in San Francisco, and Geraldo Rivera joins us from New York.
Don, first to you. It's been a very tough year for the Levy family. Any thought about whether today, you know, makes it any easier for them, in light that there's now some finality?
DONALD VANCE, LEVY FAMILY FRIEND: There's finality, in a sense, although they don't know exactly what happened to their daughter. All I can say is, this is a time for grieving. There's a certain release now that I think they'll be able to accomplish. They'll be able to grieve. They weren't able to grieve before because they had to hold on to the hope that their daughter was still alive. So they struggled with the grief all year. Now they will be able to go through the grieving process, which will be beneficial to them, as to all of us.
VAN SUSTEREN: Don, did they realistically — Don, did they realistically — I know they had hope. But do you think that they truly believed that she was still alive, when the months just seemed to stack up and no word from her?
VANCE: You know, I truly believe that they held onto that hope because that was the only way that they could get through this time, that this was the thing that held them together, the hope that she would be found, that what they were doing would lead to finding her, that somebody would take pity on them and tell them what they knew about the situation, what they knew about what had happened to her. They had to hold onto this hope.
