NEW YORK – It looks as if 'N Sync star Lance Bass is really going "Bye Bye Bye" — he's been cleared to fly a Russian rocket into space, a Hollywood producer who's financing the trip said yesterday.
Bass, 23, has received informal word that he has qualified as physically fit for a seat aboard the flight to the International Space Station, said David Krieff, president of Destiny Productions. Krieff will announce plans for a series of TV specials about the flight next week.
The singer will receive documentation today, and "there's some sort of ceremony next Wednesday where he'll be even more formally certified," Krieff said.
Bass will begin a five- to six-month training program in Russia next week.
