NEW YORK – Shannon Oliver, the high-maintenance brunette who was tossed off The Bachelor this week, says she never felt right with the square-jawed, 31-year-old star, Alex Michel.
"I never really trusted him and I was never quite comfortable with him to believe he'd ever choose me," she said. "I was never in love with him."
That much was apparent on Monday's episode of the hit ABC reality show.
Shannon, unlike the other two "bachelorettes" in the running — event-planner Amanda and Miami Heat dancer Trista — refused to kiss Alex and seemed to be constantly finding fault with him.
Then, when Alex booted Shannon off the show, she stormed off to a waiting car before quickly returning to demand why he hadn't chosen her.
"The night before they'd set up a dinner for Alex and I without any cameras, and he asked me if I wanted to stay," Shannon said. "I told him that, honestly, it would be easier for him to send me home, because it wasn't right for me to be worrying about Amanda and Trista.
"He even asked me, during that dinner, if I could see myself being married to him, and I just couldn't at that point."
