Hundreds of rabid sci-fi fans itching to see the new Star Wars flick will begin camping outside the Ziegfeld Theater next week, almost 20 days before the movie opens.

The line will begin forming at 11 a.m. April 27 and participants will bring sleeping bags, lawn chairs, radios and coolers to help them through — gulp — 445 hours of waiting.

Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones opens May 16.

The camp-out is being organized by NYLine (nyline.org), a nonprofit group raising money from participants and passers-by for the Starlight Children's Foundation, which helps seriously ill kids.
