Wesley Snipes, E.T. and boys in drag at the movies this weekend in The Foxlight.

Get ready for the Snipes. The ones from critics. Blade II is here because, hey, there were so many unanswered questions in Blade, like how'd they talk Kris Kristoffersen into this thing and how'd they get him back again? This is one of the goriest movies I've ever seen. Unfortunately, no one killed the editor. And at two hours, most agree someone should have taken a "blade to" this film.

Next, what can you say about E.T.? They don't make 'em like they used to? It's only been 20 years but it's true. This new remastered version takes the guns out of the feds hands, but it adds Harrison Ford in a cameo as the school principal. A scene that was cut originally. And there are a few other changes. But yes, he still phones home.

Finally, back to the kind of movies we make nowadays. Three guys get kicked out of their fraternity and become Sorority Boys. They're in drag and whether or not the film can be classified the same way depends on your sense of humor. Some reviews found a few chuckles. Others say Some Like It Hot this ain't.

And that's the always lukewarm look at the latest Hollywood has to offer.
