NEW YORK – Time marches backwards and Ice Cube is looking to steal some ice in the warm meltdown glare of The Foxlight.
Guy Pearce seemed to be going backwards in time during Memento. Now he's going wherever he wants in time. This is the remake of H.G. Wells' The Time Machine. It borrows or steals a lot from the original. But some critics wished they could travel back two hours and miss this thing all together.
Next Ice Cube is a bounty hunter after Mike Epps. When they stumble across some diamonds can they go into business together? I think the title All About The Benjamins is a reference to hundred dollar bills. Whether or not this makes many of those remains to be seen.
The real question is whether or not either of these can capture the hill from Mel Gibson. We Were Soldiers could hold onto No. 1 again this weekend. But will anyone who has seen it e-mail me and tell me whether or not that's Mel Gibson the actor or Mel's character at the end? I won't spoil it for people who haven't seen it — but if you have, you know what I mean? Shouldn't he have been made up to look older?
