Time now for the "Most Ridiculous Item of the Day." We have stayed away from this Lizzie Grubman story. She's the publicist who backed her SUV over a bunch of people in the Hamptons. She faces criminal charges and more than $100 million in lawsuits. The Hamptons is an expensive place.
Well, the "New York Post" is now running a promotion tweaking this story. The paper is giving away a Mercedes SUV exactly like the one Ms. Grubman used to, well, dent her wallet. A pretty clever promotion. Whether it's ridiculous or not depends on how you feel about the situation.
