SHELTERS

-- More than 75,000 evacuees are being sheltered by the Red Cross.

-- More than 445 Red Cross shelters are open in 19 states and the District of Columbia.

RELIEF WORKERS

-- More than 74,000 trained Red Cross workers from all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

-- The Red Cross has trained an additional 63,000 people in specialized disaster relief skills.

FOOD

-- The Red Cross and Southern Baptist Convention are working together to feed those in shelters.

-- Survivors of the hurricane have been served more than 7.6 million hot meals and more than 6.6 million snacks ASSISTANCE

-- The Red Cross is expanding its efforts to provide financial assistance to about 750,000 survivors across the nation.

-- Assistance comes in several ways, including client assistance cards, vouchers, checks and cash.
