Bio: Maj. Gen. Carl A. Strock

Major General Carl Strock is responsible for the coordination of all support provided by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to the Office of Reconstruction and Humanitarian Assistance.

During his 32 years of service, General Strock has commanded two engineer divisions, a mechanized engineer brigade, an airborne engineer battalion, a mechanized infantry company, and a special forces detachment. He has also served as installation chief of staff, a personnel officer of the Army General Staff and instructor at the British Royal School of military engineering.

Strock is the recipient of the Distinguished Service Medal, the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star and numerous campaign medals.

Strock is a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute and holds a Master's degree in civil engineering from Mississippi State University. He is a registered professional engineer.
