Anonymous Donation Bumps Up Reward to Find Florida Girl's Killer

The reward has increased to $45,000 for information leading to the killer of 7-year-old Somer Thompson, the north Florida girl whose body was found in a Georgia landfill.
First Coast Crime Stoppers said Monday an anonymous donation bumped its reward to $15,000. The rest of the bounty is from the Justice Coalition, a Jacksonville nonprofit that advocates for victims of violent crimes.

Authorities have received more than 2,400 tips in Somer Thompson's case, but so far made no arrests.
The Orange Park girl went missing two weeks ago on her walk home from school. She was found during an exhaustive search of a landfill 50 miles away, where trash from her neighborhood was dumped.
The Clay County Sheriff's Office hasn't said whether it believes the crime was committed by more than one person.
