A gang of teenage boys have appeared in court charged with raping a 15-year-old girl. Three of the boys — aged 13, 16 and 17 — were kept in custody and two 16-year-olds were released on bail.
The alleged attack took place in Bolton, United Kingdom in the early morning Thursday.
The boys appeared at Bolton Magistrates' Court in two sittings.
The two 16-year-olds — handcuffed and flanked by security staff — were led into the dock.
They spoke only to confirm their names and give their dates of birth.
Their families looked on as they were released on bail on the conditions they will live at their addresses and be electronically tagged to ensure a curfew between the hours of 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
