Impeach Judge Shira Scheindlin

Hi, I'm Bill O'Reilly. Thanks for watching us tonight. We'll analyze the president's speech and talk with homeland security director Tom Ridge in a moment.

But first, a Talking Points Memo about another very disturbing security issue. Last night, we told you about federal judge Shira Scheindlin, who released 21-year old Osama Awadallah from custody. The Jordanian national was charged with lying to a grand jury about his association with two of the 9/11 killers. According to the FBI, Awadallah met with Nawaf al-Hamzi 40 times.

Al-Hamzi died when the plane he helped hijack crashed into the Pentagon. In Al-Hamzi's car parked at Dulles Airport was Awadallah's number. When the Feds raided his apartment in San Diego, they found a picture of Usama bin Laden. Yet, Judge Scheindlin released this man over the objections of the Justice Department, and threw out some of the charges against him.

Justice is appealing. And in my opinion, justice is not being served because many legal experts say there is more than enough cause to keep Awadallah in prison until his trial. Judge Scheindlin was appointed by Jimmy Carter and is on the bench for life. The only thing that can remove her is impeachment. So, let's roll.

Talking Points is calling for the House Judiciary Committee to seek the authority from the entire House to begin an impeachment inquiry into the judge. We are asking any congressperson who agrees with us to e-mail us at oreilly@foxnews.com, oreilly@foxnews.com. On Monday, we will tell Americans which members of Congress favor an investigation into Judge Scheindlin. We will put their names and districts on the screen during Talking Points. If any members of Congress disagree, please e-mail us as well.

Enough is enough with irresponsible leadership. Judge Scheindlin has a long anti-government record. Her main duty is to protect Americans from harm, yet she allows a man who is associated with two terrorist killers to walk free, unsupervised. All of us should contact our congressperson immediately. Hey, Peter King. Do something. He's my guy.

And you should call or e-mail your representative. I said it last night and I'll say it again. We have to protect ourselves because some of the people in power can't or won't do it for us. Judge Scheindlin has to go. And that's the memo.

The Most Ridiculous Item of the Day

Time for "The Most Ridiculous Item of the Day."

Some housekeeping. Tomorrow, we were supposed to go to Guantanamo Bay for a firsthand look at the terrorist prison there. That trip has been postponed because something's going on with the military. We respect that. We'll keep you posted on the situation. Hope we can reschedule.

Also, tomorrow night on the Fox Network, home of The Simpsons, the third O'Reilly Factor Special will be aired at 9:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific Time. That's Friday 9:00 p.m. It's called O'Reilly Versus Hollywood. It's about celebrity activism. Hello, Alec Baldwin. Trust me on this one. You will like it. And if you don't, it will be ridiculous.
