Police say there are multiple reports of shots fired near a Detroit school two days after seven teenagers were shot and wounded as they waited for a public bus.
Detroit police spokesman Rod Liggons tells The Associated Press multiple 911 calls reported shots fired near Cody Ninth Grade Academy around 9:45 a.m. Thursday. He earlier said no one was hit and shots were fired off school property.
Seven teenagers including five students at the academy were shot Tuesday at a bus stop nearby after summer-school classes let out.
Dozens of students accompanied by parents streamed from the school midmorning before classes were completed. Uniformed Detroit and Detroit Public Schools police officers were stationed outside the school and down the street.
