BREWTON, Ala. A 48-year-old special education teacher in Brewton is accused of giving drugs and paying money to former students to perform sex acts on themselves while he watched.
Larry Eugene Tindell, a teacher at W.S. Neal High School, remained in jail Thursday on $425,000 bond.
Tindell, who has been held since Feb. 10, was charged with distribution of a controlled substance. His attorney, Carl White, had no comment about the case Thursday.
Tindell is accused of befriending young males at the school, some in mid-teens, and asking them to perform sex acts on themselves in front of him once they reached Alabama's age of consent.
He allegedly paid them $20 or with narcotic pain relief pills.
