Turkish Man Lights Self on Fire in Protest of Gaza Conflict

ANKARA, Turkey A man doused himself with gasoline and set himself alight to protest the violence in the Gaza strip, a state-run news agency reported.
The Anatolia news agency says passers-by quickly extinguished the flames and police took the man to a hospital where he is being treated for burns.
Anatolia says the protest Tuesday took place in Taksim, Istanbul's busiest square. The man was identified as 63-year old Ibrahim Ulusan.
Israel's operation in the Hamas-controlled Palestinian territory of Gaza has triggered daily protests in Turkey.
On Tuesday, school children observed a minute of silence for the Gaza victims.
