PANAMA CITY, Panama —  Rescuers have recovered the bodies of two passengers of a small plane that crashed into a lake that feeds the Panama Canal.

Panama's Civil Aviation Authority says the two-seat Cessna 152 was found early Wednesday floating near the village of Tranquillas.

The craft belongs to a flight training school and was carrying an instructor and a student. Both are Panamanian.

Officials are investigating.
