O, my, is Newark excited about Oprah Winfrey!
The talk-show queen has donated at least $1.5 million to help the city's kids get a better education and the less fortunate get better shelter and long-term addiction care.
"She's got a great heart," said Adrianne Davis, whose North Ward Center will use a $500,000 grant to offer scholarships and help its charter-school students apply to top-ranked high schools and colleges.
Is she an Oprah fan?
"Absolutely! Who's not a fan of Oprah?"

Winfrey is a fan of Newark Mayor Cory Booker, who has appeared on her show and is featured on her Web site. He released a statement expressing the city's appreciation for Winfrey's donations, calling her "a powerful agent of change in our nation" and "a phenomenal friend to Newark."
