KENSINGTON, Md. —  Montgomery County fire officials say children at a Kensington school are complaining of feeling sick and that four have been taken to a hospital as a precaution.

Capt. Oscar Garcia says authorities were called to Holy Redeemer School about 9:30 a.m. for a report of sick people.

He says 14 children, ages 9 to 13, reported feeling nauseous during Mass. He says pews at the church were recently refinished and that the heat had been turned on in that area of the church. Authorities are evaluating the air quality in the church.

Garcia says all the children were evaluated and four were taken to a hospital.
