Gary Coleman Pleads Not Guilty in Utah Bowling Alley Case

Tuesday, October 14, 2008

PROVO, Utah —  The attorney for Gary Coleman says the actor has pleaded not guilty to charges of disorderly conduct and reckless driving.

Both charges are misdemeanors. Coleman appeared in Payson Justice Court on Tuesday.

According to court documents, Coleman, his wife and his bodyguard were bowling in Payson in early September. A police report says Colt Rushton took a few photos of Coleman with his cell phone camera and took a few more of Coleman's truck in the parking lot.

Rushton's attorney says Coleman's wife took his cell phone, a scuffle ensued and then Coleman ran into him with his truck as he was backing out of the parking lot.

Coleman's attorney, Randy Kester, says the actor didn't do anything wrong and was just trying to leave the parking lot undisturbed.
