Louisiana 12-Year-Old Accidentally Hangs Himself Climbing Tree

SHREVEPORT, La. — Caddo Parish sheriff's deputies are investigating the death of a 12-year-old child who was found hanging from a tree.
The victim's brother found the boy unconscious and unresponsive Wednesday afternoon hanging from a tree in the back of their home in southeast Shreveport.
Deputies say the victim liked to play in the trees, but somehow got tangled in a nylon rope.
Family members managed to get the boy down from the tree, but he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Detectives said there were two ropes in the tree and one appeared to be for climbing.
The investigation continues.
