Nikki Blonsky Says Airport Fight Left Her 'Destroyed'

Thursday, October 09, 2008

The star of the movie "Hairspray" tells People magazine that a brawl at an airport with the family of a former "America's Next Top Model" contestant has left her living "every day in pain."

Nikki Blonsky, 19, tells People that the July 30 incident at the Providenciales International Airport in the Turks and Caicos between her family and that of Bianca Golden has "completely destroyed" her and her father, Carl.

Blonsky, her father and Golden all face assault charges related to the fight.

"The hardest part for me is to see my parents walk around in severe upset and sadness," she told People.

The Blonsky and Golden families tell conflicting stories as to what happened in the departure area after a fight erupted over saved seats.

Blonsky told People that Golden said: "'F--- you, you white b----.' And she closed her fist and punched me."

Golden told Tyra Banks that Nikki kicked her mother, Elaine, in the groin and that Carl Blonsky punched her mother in the face, charges Blonsky denies.
