COLBERT, Okla. —  A fistfight between friends at a campground in southeastern Oklahoma left one Louisiana man dead and another in jail.

Colbert police Capt. Mike Graham says Don Mancil, 43, beat Charles Thomas Randal, 48, with his fists and stomped on him in a fight over a woman on Friday night. Randal later died at a Texas hospital.

Graham says that the men, both from Glenmora, La., were construction workers in Colbert to work on a pipeline. They were longtime friends and traveled together for work, usually staying at campgrounds in separate trailers.

Officers booked Mancil into the Bryan County Jail on a manslaughter complaint. No bail has been set.
