Ivanka Trump, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, Michelle Obama Among Vanity Fair's International Best-Dressed

Business mogul Ivanka Trump, French first lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, and Michelle Obama were among those chosen for Vanity Fair's 2008 International Best-Dressed List.
Obama, who was chosen "because she’s our commander in sheath," listed "talking with women about work/family life balance” as her signature cause, while Ivanka Trump championed the The Eric Trump Foundation and the New York City Police Foundation.

Other notable women on the list included "Chronicles of Narnia" star Tilda Swinton, H.R.H. Crown Princess Mathilde of Belgium, royal girlfriend Kate Middleton, Oscar-winner Angelina Jolie and Iris Apfel, the 86-year-old founder and designer of Old World Weavers.
Soccer star David Beckham, "Today" show anchor Matt Lauer, "Casino Royale" star Daniel Craig, British environmental-policy adviser Zac Goldsmith, rapper Kanye West and Italian entrepreneur Lapo Elkann were among the best-dressed men.
The September issue of the magazine, which features all 42 on the list, hits newsstands Aug. 1.
