July 24: Mark Wahlberg talks about his new movie 'Max Payne' during an interview at the Comic-Con 2008 convention in San Diego.
Mark Wahlberg is officially ready to give up his life in the fast lane in exchange for marriage and a quiet life with his family.
The 37-year-old movie star told People Magazine that he and longtime girlfriend Rhea Durham, 30, plan to have a formal wedding next summer after the birth of their third child.
"We continue to grow in our relationship," Wahlberg told People Thursday at San Diego's Comic-Con International, where he is promoting his new movie, “Max Payne.” "I think we have a much better chance at succeeding and staying together."
Wahlberg says giving up his wild ways, a life style that served as inspiration for the HBO series “Entourage,” was critical to understanding life as a husband and father.
Now his entourage is made up of Durham and the couple's kids, Ella, 4, and Mike, 2.
"I wasn't prepared to be married – I don't care who it was – at [age] 20 or 30," Wahlberg told People. But he's ready for "committing to really making it work constantly and all the other things that go into building a solid foundation."
