Notoriously nasty "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell is the favorite reality TV villain in America ... and Paula Abdul is the worst reality TV judge, according to a poll released on Thursday.

In an AOL Television survey that drew more than 1.3 million votes, Cowell drew 39 percent of the vote for best reality TV villain.

Abdul, known for her emotional outbursts and as the kindest of the three judges on the "American Idol" panel, was chosen worst reality judge by 42 percent of voters.

The AOL Television poll on the best and worst of reality television in America was conducted July 9-23 and attracted 1,340,208 votes.
