Photos Show Frail Michael Jackson in Wheelchair

Friday, July 11, 2008

Photos of Michael Jackson snapped on Monday reveal the gaunt star wearing pajamas and being pushed in a wheelchair at a Las Vegas bookstore.

Mike Lopez, the photographer who captured the beleaguered King of Pop, told the New York Daily News that "he looks really frail. His skin was peeling and he looks so thin and gaunt."

Jackson and children Prince I, Paris and Prince II spent about two hours at a Barnes & Noble in Las Vegas, where the singer arrived in pajamas, a surgical mask over his face, black scarf and Marines baseball cap.

The singer browsed through children's books and CDs and then left separately from his three children. Store employees took the purchases out to a waiting SUV.

Jackson has claimed that health problems force him to cover himself at all times.
