Friday, May 16, 2008

Authorities in Georgia on Friday resumed the search for a 17-year-old girl missing since she went for a walk Wednesday night.

Officials are searching a 5-mile radius in Haralson County for Brittany Carrigg, who left her family home in Bremen, Ga., around 10 p.m. Wednesday to go for a walk, MyFOXAtlanta.com reported.

Crews were urged to mark where any wells are located. Operations chief John Entrekin said 50 to 75 people are involved in the search, which could be affected by strong winds.

Carrigg, a junior at Haralson County High School, last was seen wearing blue jeans, a white shirt and tennis shoes. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Haralson County Sheriff's Department.
