Liv Tyler's wedding ring finger was bare at Monday's star-studded Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala, the New York Daily News reported.

For weeks, it's been rumored that the "Lord of the Rings" actress and rocker husband Royston Langdon are on the rocks, the News reports.

Tyler, the daughter of Aerosmith's Steven Tyler, was also without her wedding band at several recent events, according to the News. She's said to have told friends that she and Langdon, the father of their son, married too young.

Tyler's rep had no immediate comment for the News on her marital status.

Also at the Gala: John Mayer didn't deny his romance with Jennifer Aniston.

"This is not a scandal," he told "Entertainment Tonight." "This is not a problem. This needs no spin control. This is me living my life!"
