A man who sold chocolate laced with Viagra as a food supplement without a prescription and through the mail is facing charges in the United States, French news agency AFP reports.

Tibor Liska already has pleaded guilty to selling by mail some 12,000 packets a month of sildenafil — sold under the brand name Viagra — mixed with chocolate and herbs, it is reported.

He faces up to 20 years in jail and fines up to $250,000 if found guilty of mail fraud, U.S. Attorney Michael Garcia told AFP.

The "food supplements" were sold under the name "Boom" between March 2006 and November 2007 in the United States, Australia, Colombia, Switzerland, Russia, Argentina, Japan and Slovakia. The supplements were billed as being plant-based and didn't mention that they contained Viagra.
