Always a bridesmaid? Well, not always… Sometimes a cardboard clone can get the job done, too.

Brooke White won’t be dabbing damp eyes as she watches her sister exchange vows on Saturday; instead, she’ll be polishing her singing skills with the other contestants as a cardboard cut-out of the "American Idol" hopeful takes her place in the wedding party, TMZ reports.

Contestants are informed in advance of Saturday rehearsal schedules, and the show’s executive producer, Nigel Lythgoe, said in the TMZ story: "It would be a shame if Brooke was kicked off the show because she hadn't properly rehearsed."
