Report: Howard Stern Sidekick Quits Show

Friday, April 11, 2008

The hard-partying assistant of Howard Stern has quit the shock jock's Sirius Satellite radio show after a melee in the studio, Page Six reports.

Artie Lange quit the show after an argument between the sidekick and his assistant, Teddy, erupted during the taping of the program, the column said.

Lange reportedly had been upset that Teddy had asked him for his passport for an upcoming trip to Amsterdam, according to Page Six.

"He's a loser," Lange reportedly said. "He's the most unorganized assistant. I want to fire him, but he has no money. I hope he dies of AIDS."

Lange reportedly threw water at Teddy and lunged at him, then blamed Stern for the fight. He then resigned, Page Six said.
