Friends, Family Search for Missing West Virginia Student

Wednesday, December 19, 2007

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. —  Friends and family members of missing Marshall student Leah Hickman are busy knocking on doors and posting fliers with her picture on them.

They're even using the Internet networking sites Facebook and MySpace to get the word out.

Ron Hickman says more exposure means a better chance of finding his daughter.

Twenty-one-year-old Leah Hickman hasn't been seen since Friday. Her family, which expected her home for the holiday break, became concerned when she failed to report to work on Saturday or Sunday.

Hickman's car, purse, coat, keys and packed bags were found at the Huntington apartment she shares with her older sister.

Hickman is a 5-foot-4 white female, about 125 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is urged to call police.
