Monday, December 17, 2007

BATON ROUGE, La. —  Baton Rouge police released sketches of two men wanted for questioning in connection with the Dec. 13 murders of two Louisiana State University graduate students from India.

Officials believe as many as four men may have been involved in the shooting deaths of Chandrasekhar Reddy Komma, 31, and Kiran Kuma Allum, 33, at the Edward Gay Apartments complex on the LSU campus. But police only released sketches of two men on Monday.

The first suspect is believed to have been the driver, police said. He is a black male in his 20s with his hair twisted in rows. He wore a white hooded sweatshirt.

The second suspect is also described as a black male in his late 20s or early 30s with a muscular build and a receding hairline, police said. He wore a white long-sleeved shirt with a high collar and dark jeans.

Both men were seen at the Edward Gay Apartments complex as early as 9 p.m. Thursday, the night of the shootings, Baton Rouge Police Sergeant Don Kelly said.

Investigators believe the men were scouting for an opportunity to rob someone.
