Jessica Simpson Attends Dallas Cowboys Game to Cheer on Tony Romo

Monday, December 17, 2007

IRVING, Texas  —  In case anyone missed the photo of Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson on the cover of People magazine, one look at the jersey she was wearing at the Dallas Cowboys' game Sunday showed who her new beau is.

"Romo!" Simpson said when television cameras spotted her in the stands during Dallas' 10-6 loss to Philadelphia.

Simpson was wearing a pink Cowboys No. 9 jersey and sitting in a luxury box. She and Romo have been an item for about a month. Her new movie, "Blonde Ambition," is headed straight to DVD except for showings at some Texas theaters, according to People.com.

This time last year, Romo was dating country singer Carrie Underwood. In fact, she was in a luxury box last December when Dallas played Philadelphia.

The Cowboys lost that game and Romo had the worst performance of his career. At least, it was the worst until Sunday, when he had a 22.2 quarterback rating and bruised the thumb area on his throwing hand.

Romo's parents also were in attendance Sunday and accepted the team's Bob Lilly Award on his behalf at halftime. It was the first game for his father, Ramiro, since undergoing surgery for prostate cancer earlier this season.
